Conference Title: UK Mapping Festival
Dates: 2nd – 7th September 2018
Location: London, UK

BARSC is delighted to support the first ever Mapping Festival to be held in the UK by hosting a session entitled; ‘But what can Earth Observation do for me!’

The UK Mapping Festival 2018 (UKMF) will be a week-long programme of education, inspiration, entertainment and of course, maps.During the week, visitors will be able to take part in workshops, visits, social gatherings, seminars with Festival guests, and activities for families & young people.

BARSC will be hosting a session looking at what Earth Observation is and how it can add benefit to people’s everyday lives. We will be inviting industry experts to give their insight into how this little-known technology can help automated cars become reality, help put food on our tables and ensure the health of the planet!

If you would like to be a part of the day and provide your insight through a presentation please email UKMF@barsc.org.uk with a short explanation as to what application of EO you would like to present and why this would be of interest to the public.

Visit the UK Mapping Festival Website for more information and follow the conference on Twitter for the latest updates.
