The next CEOI Challenge Workshop, to identify potential future UK EO missions will be held on Friday 2nd March 2018 at the Alexandra House Hotel near Swindon, starting at 10.00 am.
CEOI is organising this workshop as part of a project on behalf of the UK Space Agency’s Earth Observation Advisory Committee (EOAC) to develop a list of candidate UK EO Missions and Instruments.
A major part of the workshop will be to hear from those who would like their mission to be included on this list.
The CEOI is therefore inviting people to give five-minute presentations for EO instruments or missions that are near flight-ready – these could be UK national, or developed as bilateral or through ESA, including InCubed.
If you would like to make a presentation please let Mick Johnson know by 14th February , with the following information:
- Name of Instrument/Mission
- Type of observation – atmosphere, land, ocean, cryosphere etc.
- Purpose – commercial, operational, science
The CEOI will ask your presentation to cover specific areas such as the use case, the benefits, the innovation etc. A template will be available in advance.
The information from the presentations, the discussion and the process will be collated into a short report for UKSA and EOAC in mid-March. The following stages in the project will be announced at the workshop.
If you would like to attend, please book your place before 14th February with Lisa Finch, stating:
- Your affiliation
- Any dietary requirements
- Whether you wish to make a presentation
The full agenda will be published after 14th February on the CEOI website and emailed to registered attendees
