BARSC members and the wider UK Earth observation community are invited to join the Horizon Europe Cluster 4 Info Days on 14 and 15 October 2026. The online event will introduce funding opportunities under the 2027 Work Programme for Digital, Industry and Space, including space and Earth observation.

For organisations developing EO technologies, services or downstream applications, the sessions offer an early opportunity to understand the Commission’s policy context, hear topic pitches and begin identifying potential consortium partners.

When to join

Day 1 — Wednesday 14 October, 09:00–16:00 CEST (08:00–15:00 UK time): plenary, digital and space topics, including Earth observation.

Day 2 — Thursday 15 October, 09:00–16:30 CEST (08:00–15:30 UK time): industry topics and horizontal sessions, including practical guidance for applicants.

Why it matters for EO businesses

Cluster 4 brings together digital, industry and space activities. For EO companies, the value of these information days is not only the chance to hear about space-specific topics: it is also an opportunity to spot where satellite data, analytics and enabling technologies can support wider European priorities in digital innovation, advanced computing, artificial intelligence, clean industry and resilient supply chains.

Businesses considering a 2027 bid should use the event to test the fit between their capabilities and emerging topics, identify gaps that require research or delivery partners and start conversations early. The Commission’s work programme identifies space, including Earth observation, as an area within Cluster 4.

How to take part

The event is online and will be streamed via Webex. The Commission says that viewing links for both days will be made available before the event, with questions handled through Slido. A more detailed agenda is expected shortly, so attendees should check the event page before the sessions.
