The Space for Smarter Government Programme is making up to £250k available (via the UK Space Agency) for up to 5 projects that contribute towards its Environment Focal Area goals by March 2015.
These projects have been selected as a result of a strategic review with Defra as a primary customer. The review has highlighted areas where using EO could make the biggest difference in terms of saving money, making efficiencies, innovating, reducing risk or making better policy decisions.
Each of the projects is a significant step towards developing the use of EO within the Environment policy, regulation and management sector.
The call is open to any organisation including public sector, academic and commercial companies.
Tenders are to be submitted to Jimmy Slaughter at ssgp@sa.catapult.org.uk by 1600hrs, 31st October 2014
A Steering Group will sit in early November to decide which bids are successful and the funding must be used before March 2015.
